Good challenge, quick support

I recently bought the Pro Trader Evaluation for a 200k account. The ordering process on the site was straightforward, no issues there. Started Phase 1 on MT5. The trading objectives were clear, and I appreciated the access to Performance Analytics; helped me keep track. I had a question about the Daily Drawdown Limit during my challenge, so I reached out to Trader Support. They responded within a few hours with a helpful explanation, which was good. Once I passed, getting to the Funded Account stage was pretty fast, took about 3 days to get everything set up. No major complaints, solid platform for what it offers.

Consistent evaluation experience

I've done a few challenges with Fidelcrest now, mostly the Micro Trader Evaluation. This last one for a 50K account went smoothly, just like the others. The Trader Dashboard is always up to date and easy to follow. Had to request an extension once on a prior attempt, and that was handled quickly. It's why I keep coming back; I know what to expect.

Easy start, clear rules

Signed up for the Normal Risk Challenge. Got the account details fast. Used MT4, it worked fine. The Profit Target and Maximum Loss Limit were clearly shown. Passed Phase 1 without trouble. Good experience overall.

If I fail the challenge, do they ever give free retries, or is it always a fresh purchase?

S Sam Hall 5 days ago
They do sometimes offer a free retry code, but it's not guaranteed. You have to meet certain conditions, like not losing too much, I think.

I got a free retry once after narrowly failing phase 1. It wasn't automatic though, I think I got an email offer. So yeah, it happens sometimes.

Quick question for anyone who's gotten a funded account: how long did it actually take from starting the evaluation to getting your hands on the funded capital?

J Jacob Sanchez 2 weeks ago
Mine was pretty quick after passing both phases, like a week or so to get everything set up. Just gotta make sure all your docs are in order.

Depends on how fast you pass the evaluation, obviously. But once you clear that, the funding part itself wasn't a long wait for me, maybe 5-7 business days.

Hey guys, thinking of signing up for the Pro Trader evaluation. Are there usually any good discounts around this time of year, or should I wait?

P Paul Brown 2 weeks ago
They usually have something for like Black Friday or New Year's, but it's not always super consistent. Might see some flash sales too.

I got 15% off my challenge last month with a random code I found online. Sometimes they do 2-for-1 accounts which is a sweet deal if you can catch it.

Thinking of trying either Fidelcrest or FTMO. Any thoughts on which one is better, or what the main differences are if you've tried both?

M Matt Rivera 3 weeks ago
I've heard good things about both, but Fidelcrest seems to have more options for account sizes and risk levels. FTMO is solid too though.

It really depends on your trading style. Fidelcrest has some aggressive options and allows news trading, which some people prefer. FTMO is a bit more conservative with their rules, I think.

Anyone done news trading on Fidelcrest? Are there any weird rules or limitations around that, or is it generally allowed?

H Hannah P. 2 weeks ago
Yeah, news trading is allowed. That's one of the things I liked about them compared to some others.

You can do news trading, no problem. Just gotta manage your risk like always, but they don't block it which is nice.
